The A149 Wells Road is set to be closed for two weeks while essential roadworks are carried out.
The road will be closed in the village of Burnham Overy Staithe in north Norfolk.
Work is expected to last two weeks, subject to good weather, as the road undergoes full resurfacing.
The road will be closed Monday to Friday from January 8 until January 19.
Works will be divided into three sections.

The first will be from the 30mph limit sign to the west of the village along Tower Road.
The second is from the junction of West Harbour Way to East Harbour Way.
Finally, from East Harbour Way until the 30mph sign at the east of the village.
Fully signed diversion routes will be set up while the works are completed.
The diversions may add delays for anyone heading to Holkham Hall over the festive period.
