Plans for nine new homes in a village have been turned down for the third time.
Fenland council has refused outline proposals to develop land south of Ingham Hall Gardens at Parson Drove, near Wisbech.
A report to councillors said: "The scheme represents a re-submission of a twice-refused application, with the addition of a community involvement statement to demonstrate local support.

"The scheme is considered to extend the village out into the countryside in a non-linear fashion that is at odds with the distinctive character of the existing settlement, with the result being that the proposal would result in harm to that character contrary to the relevant policies of the development plan."
It added that 34 letters of support were received for the plan and 21 objections.
Similar proposals were turned down for the same site in 2020 and 2021.
