A coastal pub has been given the go-ahead for a new outdoor bar and kitchen which will serve up an 'affordable alternative' to sea food.
West Norfolk council has agreed planning permission for the new addition to the beer garden at the Ship Hotel at Brancaster.
The pub said in a planning statement: "The proposed kitchen space is modest with the intention of serving rotisserie chicken to patrons.

"This is an affordable and convenient meal for many tourists in the village. It is also an alternative option to the sea food which is mostly served in the area."
It hopes the new addition will encourage outdoor dining and help it to remain a viable business.
Patrons will be able to see their food being prepared by staff at the Ship, which stands on the main A149 coast road through the village.
