Step into Christmas as a new festive walking tour has launched in Norwich city centre.

The Shoebox Experiences, based in Castle Meadow until April 2024, has introduced The Chronicles of Christmas Tour.

The first batch of tickets sold out very quickly, so more dates have been added to meet demand.

Slots are still available on Sunday, December 17 at 5pm, Monday, December 18 at 6pm, Friday, December 22 at 7pm and Saturday, December 30 at 4pm and 6pm.

Lisa Willett, customer experience manager, said: "Due to overwhelming demand for this festive walking tour, we have opened more tour slots throughout December for people to come and discover The Chronicles of Christmas."

The 90-minute tour, which covers 1.3 miles and is fully accessible to wheelchairs and prams, starts outside All Saints' Church on Westlegate, opposite John Lewis, and finishes at the Royal Arcade.

It will take attendees on a voyage of discovery through the centuries and quirky traditions of the festive season - from Roman times to the present day.

Tickets cost £15 for adults, £8 for children aged 4-12 and under 4s go free at theshoebox.org.uk/the-shoebox-experiences
