A Norfolk cross-stitch designer has released a book that shares the calming benefits of the hobby and the positive impact it has had on her mental health.
Sophie Crabb, 30 from Horsford, has published her first book Sew Mindful Cross Stitch which combines modern cross stitch projects while opening up about her own mindfulness and wellbeing.
The Norfolk mum previously worked as a broker before launching her own business, Sew Sophie Crafts, in 2019.

Sophie said: "It was important to me that this book becomes more than just a collection of patterns.
"Each project holds a personal message and throughout the book I share an open account of my own mental health battles and why crafting holds a very special place in my life”.
Throughout the book, Sophie reflects on her struggles from depression and anxiety to overthinking and imposter syndrome.
The combination of cross-stitch, mindfulness and 'crafting for calm' helped her to overcome these challenges and she now aims to help others discover the mental health benefits of crafting too.
