Drone images show drivers navigating surface water on a Norfolk road, which has now been closed due to the flood risk.

There is flood water on the A1101 Welney Wash Road, where the River Delph and New Bedford River have flooded the surrounding area.

Norfolk County Council has just announced that this road is now closed and urged drivers to find alternative routes.

The Environment Agency issued a flood alert for the Hundred Foot Washes in Norfolk affecting areas like Welney and Salters Lode near Downham Market this afternoon.

"The causeway at Welney currently has a few centimetres of water on the road and Norfolk County Council will decide whether to close Welney causeway.

"Due to the uneven surface of the roads, water may be deeper in places.

"Flood water is travelling down the River Great Ouse towards the Ouse Washes which will keep levels high for several days."
