Neighbouring traders said they did not know what had happened inside, as police, fire and ambulance services attended the premises.

It later emerged a 58-year-old woman had been pronounced dead after "an industrial accident" in the building.

Four days on, a sign on the door said the business remained closed and referred customers to a telephone number.

Police forensic officers could be seen inside on Friday night, as shoppers walked past outside.
