It has been a busy day for Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, including tackling various building fires and assisting a person stuck on a roof.

On Sunday morning (December 3), firefighters were called to three building blazes in the county. 

The first one was at 6.58am along Watton Road in Great Hockham and appliances attended from Watton, Attleborough, Thetford and Dereham, along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Earlham.

The crews used main and hose reel jets, supplemented by a hydrant, to extinguish the fire, with the incident declared over at 8.20am.

Then from 9.20am until 10.48am, crews from Fakenham and Massingham were sent to an outbuilding fire along Creake Road in Syderstone.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and extinguished the blaze using main and hose reel jets - again supplemented by a hydrant.

The third building fire of the morning was in Claxton Church Road in Ashby St Mary from 9.32am until 10.43am when the stop message was received. 

One appliance from Carrow, one from Loddon and one from Earlham attended and they used hose reel jets and hand appliances to extinguish the fire.

In all three incidents, a thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots. 

Later on in the day at 12.20pm, a crew from Sprowston along with the Aerial Ladder Platform from Earlham were sent to Womersley Road in Norwich to assist a person stuck on the roof.

The stop message was received at 12.38pm on Sunday.

It is currently unknown if there were any injuries in the above incidents.
