A disqualified motorist was arrested for being over 12 times the drug drive limit just 24 hours after being banned.
Police found Karl Connell, 43, behind the wheel of a Citroen car after being called to a disturbance on Mulberry Court in Taverham.
Norwich Magistrates’ Court was told officers had been called on May 10 due to someone causing anti-social behaviour including repeatedly beeping a car horn.
Prosecutor Lesla Small said Connell was found sitting in the driver’s seat of the stationary car in an intoxicated state.
A drugs test had recorded a reading of 630 far in excess of the legal limit of 50.

The court was told he had been disqualified from driving for 36 months the day before and had also served another previous 12 month ban.
Connell, of Northfields in Norwich, appeared charged with being in control of a vehicle while over the limit.
Representing himself in court he told magistrates he had fallen asleep in the electric car and had not been able to drive it as its charge was “completely dead”.
The case was adjourned until December 13.
