A 37-year-old man from Norwich has died after fracturing his skull in a fall at an airport hotel, a court has heard.
Aleksander Wynn had been staying at the Hilton Hotel at Schiphol Airport in Haarlemmermeer, near Amsterdam.
His death happened when he fell from an unknown height in circumstances that are not yet clear. He died on September 24.
An inquest into his death was opened on November 28 at Norfolk Coroner’s Court at County Hall, Norwich.
Samantha Goward, the area coroner, confirmed that the medical cause of death was given as "a fracture of the skull due to, or as a result from, a fall from height".
She also confirmed that Aleksander Robert Wynn was born in Norwich on January 19, 1986, and worked as a hardware shop assistant.
A pre-inquest review hearing has been scheduled for February next year while the court waits for reports from the Netherlands police and Mr Wynn’s GP and next-of-kin.
