Improved seating is expected inside Great Yarmouth's £4.7m market revamp.
The bulk of the new marketplace's second phase was completed in mid-September, with traders, including Ros' Fruit and Veg and Dearnos Chips, moving into new units recently.
The second phase's completion also marked the return of more places to sit in the market, with the return of several benches previously removed during the Covid-19 pandemic to adhere to social distancing mandates.
Currently, benches surround the outside of the open-plan canopy section of the market building, with no seating inside the open area.
Great Yarmouth Borough Council spokesperson said the current placing of the benches is temporary while plans for a permanent solution to seating are finalised.
A"Once finalised, the seating area at Great Yarmouth Market Place will provide a welcoming and vibrant space for visitors to relax and enjoy the bustling atmosphere of the market," the spokesperson added.
More seating and trees are also expected as the market project sees landscaping carried out by the market square.
