A former Norfolk police officer is facing disciplinary action over his conduct at a Christmas party.

Sergeant Richard Lodge will appear before a misconduct hearing later this month to answer claims that he breached the expected standards of professional behaviour.

He faces a five-day hearing from November 27 to December 1 to answer allegations related to incidents at a team Christmas party in Norwich in 2021.

He is said to have “engaged in unwanted physical contact and inappropriate communication with colleagues”.

The panel will determine whether his behaviour amounted to discreditable conduct and breached standards in relation to respect and courtesy and equality and diversity.

In a separate case another former officer faces a misconduct hearing over claims she failed to record intelligence and comply with the Disclosable Associations policy which requires officers to disclose connections with criminals or those who pose a risk of corruption.

Former PC Grace Lee will appear at a disciplinary hearing on November 28.

A finding that both officers would have been dismissed if they had still been serving could be made if gross misconduct is proven.
