Firefighters were called to the blaze in Quidenham at about 1.15pm on Monday (November 20) after reports of a large fire at a thatched house.
It was first reported that the fire broke out in Larling, near Attleborough, but Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service has since confirmed that it happened in Quidenham.
A total of 16 crews were dispatched to the scene including a water carrier and managed to bring it under control but significant damage was caused to the home.
