Two Norfolk theatres were featured on a popular BBC programme.
St George's Guildhall and Norwich Puppet Theatre both appeared on The One Show on Tuesday, October 7.
The Guildhall is Britain's oldest working theatre and Shakespeare performed at the venue in around 1592.
Tim Fitzhigham, creative director, said: "We know that Shakespeare's company were paid to come here and we know that he was on stage at that time because he got a bad review!
"That is a review of him as a player, not necessarily as a writer."
Mr Fitzhigham showed presenter Cel Spelman the recently uncovered original floor of the venue dating back to around 1420.

The programme also featured performers at the Norwich Puppet Theatre who were preparing to take their shadow puppet version of A Midsummer Night's Dream on tour.
Cel Spelman is best known for his performances in Waterloo Road and Cold Feet and is not the only TV presenter to pay a visit to the county in recent weeks.
Dermot O'Leary, of The X Factor and This Morning fame, was spotted while filming for a special episode on Saving Lives at Sea in Cromer on November 2.
