On November 12, Remembrance Sunday will take place across the country as people take a moment to remember all those who have lost their lives during both World Wars and later conflicts.
In Dereham, a parade will form up in Cherry Tree car park from 10.15am, then it marches off at 10.50am.
A short service at the war memorial, led by Rev Paul Cubitt, will be followed by the sounding of the Last Post and wreath laying.
The parade will then march off for a service at St Nicholas church.
Wreaths will be laid by civic dignitaries along with representatives of the armed forces, ex-service associations, uniformed public and voluntary services, cadet forces, youth groups and members of the public.
On Saturday, October 28 at 8am the Royal British Legion will launch its poppy appeal in Dereham Market Place.
There will be a stall and street collections on the day. The fundraising will last two weeks with tables in Tesco and Morrisons.
There will also be a short service on November 11 at the Dereham war memorial at 11am.

For a period around the parade, temporary road closures will affect access to the Market Place. From 10am until midday, the Cherry Tree Car Park entrance by the Cherry Tree pub will be affected so use the Theatre Street entrance.
From about 10.45am to midday, High Street, Norwich Street junction, Wellington Road, Cowper Road junction, and Quebec Street and Swaffham Hill junction will all be affected. Buses will not serve Market Place bus stops during the closure period.
In Fakenham, on November 11, a short service will be held in the Market Place at 10.50am.
The next day, a parade will assemble at the Queens Road Car Park from 2.15pm
It marches off at 2.40pm for the Act of Remembrance in the Market Place at 2.45pm.
A short service will then be held at the war memorial in the town centre.
