A Norfolk hotel that has a special canine menu and doggy spa has been named one of the most dog-friendly places to stay in the UK.
The Good Hotel Guide handed an Editor's Choice award to Number 29 in Burnham Market, for being one of the most welcoming hotels in the UK for guests travelling with dogs.
The hotel, which opened six years ago, was one of 10 British venues praised for going the extra mile for canine guests, providing hampers with dog blankets and puppy robes, and running a special dog-friendly menu in its cafe.
It even has a “doggy spa” where guests can rinse and blow dry their pets after a muddy walk.

Hotel owner Tim Roberts said he wanted to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests with pets, having struggled to find places to stay with his two dogs, Eric and Dolly.
He said: “If you’re opening a place in north Norfolk then you have to be dog-friendly.
“I don’t think it's fair to leave pets at home or in the car, they’re part of the family and should be treated like it.”
And while a huge dog lover himself, Mr Roberts said it had been equally important to cater for guests who are not.
He said: “Not everybody is a dog lover, and if you’re coming out for a nice meal you might not want to be sat next to one.
“That’s why our restaurant is only open to humans.”

Award in hand, the team at Number 29 is hoping the national recognition will translate into more business in the coming year.
Mr Roberts added: “We’re really grateful for the award, especially because we didn’t apply for it.
“It came completely out of the blue, which I think is a great sign that we’re doing something right.”
