Four new homes have been given the go-ahead on the site of a former pub in the Fens.
West Norfolk council has agreed outline plans for the site of the Three Tuns at Welney.
The 19th century pub, which stood beside the Old Bedford River, closed after its landlord John Waring passed away in 2001 and was demolished in 2008.
Villagers once rubbed shoulders with 'fowlers and fishermen in the Tuns' simple bar, with a punt gun over its fireplace.

A planning statement says the site is currently vacant and previous permission for seven properties on the site has lapsed.
Each of the four homes now proposed would be two-storey, with access from the nearby Main Street.
The statement says they would be built to strengthen the existing flood bank which runs along the Old Bedford.
