A dog that was found abandoned outside a supermarket with her litter of puppies is now hoping to get a new chance at life after being taken in by a rescue charity.
Pamela, a four-year-old cross, was brought over to the UK after she was rescued in Romania.
She was first found hanging around outside a shop after having several litters of puppies.
However, they kept getting killed in the busy road and she had now hidden her final litter in a derelict cellar behind the shops.
Pamela and her six puppies were rescued and she is now searching for a forever home.
She is described as an "absolute sweetheart" who has "suffered a lot in life" but still "calm and placid" and would make a fantastic family pet.
Safe Rescue for Dogs, a Norfolk-based charity, has now rescued her and she is being fostered in a home in Norwich.
If you would like to adopt Pamela or one of the other dogs in the care of Safe Rescue for Dogs you can do so by contacting the charity at 07788 251197 or emailing saferescue@hotmail.co.uk.
