A man 'stage managed' the sexual abuse of children in the Philippines by paying for videos of them, having described in "graphic and disgusting" detail what he wanted to happen to them.
Christopher Hockley was caught when police searched his devices after officers received a complaint from the grandfather of an 11-year-old girl in the UK who he contacted on Facebook.
Norwich Crown Court heard the 65-year-old had been "effectively directing what he wanted those in the Philippines to do and stage managing it".
Hockley, of Canterbury Way, Thetford, appeared at court for sentencing having been previously found guilty of arranging or facilitating child prostitution or pornography in that he intentionally arranged the sexual exploitation of children between May 1, 2015, and January 22, 2017.
He was also found guilty of three counts of making indecent photographs of children on or before August 17, 2017, two counts of distributing indecent photos of a child and one offence of possessing an extreme pornographic image.
Charles Myatt, prosecuting, said those offences were discovered after police had taken devices belonging to Hockley in relation to another offence - sexual communication with a child under 16 between April 2 2017 and May 8 2017 - which he was also convicted of.
Hockley had been communicating with the girl, then aged under 12, on Facebook in a sexual way "totally inappropriate for a girl of that age".
Mr Myatt said it was this offence "which triggered the whole investigation" after the grandfather of the victim, who was then 11, was "vigilant" of her social media use.
Sentencing Hockley to an extended sentence of 16 years and three months made up of 12 years three months custody and an extended four years on licence, Judge Alice Robinson said: "This catalogue of sexual offending demonstrates the depths of your depravity and sexual interest in children".
Before Hockley was sentenced on Friday (October 6) the court heard an impact statement from the victim, now 16, who said: "I wish none of this happened and I wish Chris was dead as a result of what happened to me."
Andrew Oliver, for Hockley said the defendant was effectively "a man of good character prior to these convictions".
Hockley was also put on the sex offenders register for life.
