From a surfwear brand to Mexican restaurants, there is a huge variety of new shops opening in streets across Norfolk.
Here are all of the businesses opening their doors in October.
1) Blackshore
is relocating to Holt this month.
Suffolk clothing brand BlackshoreOriginally based in Southwold the shop sells trousers, aprons, jackets and other clothing handmade in its workshop.
The new store will be located at 3 Church Street but an exact opening date is yet to be confirmed.
2) Plan Burrito
Mexican restaurant Plan Burrito is set to open at the top of Timber Hill in Norwich in the former home of Re: Source.
The business was founded in Loughborough in 2018 by Steve Hopper and now has eight branches across the country.
The restaurant will serve burritos, tacos and nachos to eat-in or takeaway.
An exact opening date is yet to be confirmed but it is gearing up for an October launch.
3) Finisterre
set to open its first Norfolk store in Holt this month.
Surfwear brand Finisterre isThe company sells surf gear as well as beanie hats and fleeces.
There are 11 stores across the UK with the closest currently in London.
4) Buffalo Coffee Brewers
opened in St Benedicts Street in Norwich on October 2.
Buffalo Coffee BrewersThe shop is run by Giles Hayward-Smith who has more than 10 year's experience working in the coffee industry in both London and Norfolk.
The shop sells a range of coffees as well as tea and hot chocolate and Mr Hayward-Smith plans to serve homemade cakes in the future.
5) Kong's Fish and Chips
with new owners on October 5.
A fish and chip shop in Wymondham reopenedPreviously known as the Jolly Fryer, Kong's Fish and Chips has been renovated and rebranded by sisters Kong Golke and Yin Yan Kong.
They plan to introduce Korean-style fried chicken and other specials to the menu.
6) The Bucket List
Pop-up restaurant The Bucket List opened at Chantry Place's courtyard on October 2.
The unique chip shop serves its food in buckets with homemade toppings.
The Bucket List, owned by Nathan Boon, first opened in Cromer in 2018 and has since held pop-ups all over the country.
7) The Grain Kitchen
The Grain Kitchen opened at The English Distillery in Roudham on October 6.
The restaurant, previously OakVilla, will feature a traditional Sunday lunch on its menu.
It has been taken over by Lucy and Grant Newland after the previous restaurant closed in April 2022.
8) Julian Charles
Homeware brand Julian Charles is hoping to open in Castle Quarter in Norwich this month.
The brand is in the "early days" of planning for the new store.
There are more than 70 Julian Charles outlets across the UK, with the closest store currently in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex.
9) Tortilla
Mexican restaurant Tortilla is set to open its first Norwich branch in the former home of Greggs in White Lion Street.
The restaurant, which sells California-style Mexican burritos and tacos, has not confirmed an opening date.
However, job adverts on Indeed are currently advertising an October start date.
The site has been vacant since December 2022 after Greggs relocated to a larger premises.
10) Cosmic Jo's
Cosmic Jo's sci-fi store is opening in the former site of Griffin Sweets in Bedford Street in Norwich.
The shop has been empty since March and will now sell rare collectables from popular franchises such as Star Wars, Doctor Who and Marvel.
Owners Jonathan Storey and Bradley Brady are hoping to launch the business at the end of October.
11) Bubba Kitchen
Bubba Kitchen opened in White Lion Street in Norwich on October 5.
The North American-style kitchen was previously a pop-up at The Earlham in Earlham Road.
The menu features freshly made pittas, tacos, burgers and fried chicken.
