A village Methodist chapel could be converted into a wildlife-friendly home.
A developer described in planning papers as a client of Landles has applied to convert the building at Southery, near Downham Market, into a three-bedroom house.
A heritage statement says the site on Ferry Bank was originally occupied by a much larger Chapel built in 1842, which was demolished and replaced by the current Chapel in 1991.

It adds: "The previous use as a chapel is no longer viable and the alternative use as a dwelling will provide further accommodation to the village while ensuring the building is retained and maintained."
The statement said the building will be retained and much of the site will be landscaped and hedgerows will be planted to encourage wildlife to return, with bat and bird boxes also installed.
