The Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference (OEEC) is strongly rooted in The Netherlands. The Dutch cluster is a frontrunner in the energy mix of the future and sees OEEC as the place to showcase this, to both various governmental bodies and the international community.
OEEC firmly believes that fostering innovation requires the presence and convergence of companies, universities/graduate schools, knowledge institutions and startups active across the various verticals, including offshore wind, marine energy, hydrogen, green marine, fossil fuels and clean fuels.
The event provides a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, driving the transition towards a sustainable energy future.
The event is backed by the Government of the Netherlands. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) considers OEEC the flagship event when it comes to offshore energy. It has been a longtime partner presenting offshore (wind) energy ambitions to business and government relations for the last seven years.
“After OEEC 2022 exceeded our expectations, we are looking at another very successful event and hope Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference this coming November will even top last year’s”, said Ernst Visser, managing director at Navingo, which organises OEEC.
‘Changing Currents’ – OEEC 2023 Conference
The event’s theme this year is “Changing Currents”. Industry leaders and knowledge professionals will discuss the opportunities and challenges in the offshore energy sector, particularly with regards to the urgent need to address climate change and energy security.
With panel discussions, presentations, interviews and The Stage talks, OEEC’s content programme dives deep into each market and its supply chain, bringing different sector developments into the limelight.
“Will the energy transition accelerate to accomplish the ambitions set out by governments or will it take a different path? What is necessary for offshore energy industry to step up? One thing is for sure, we live in turbulent times where past performances are no guarantee of future results,” said Jaap Proost, conference manager at Navingo.
What to expect on the exhibition floor
The exhibition will feature two halls providing numerous exhibition possibilities for interested companies. Among these are TotalEnergies, bp, SSE, Van Oord, Damen, Deme Offshore, Huisman and many others.
Visitors and exhibitors can expect a spacious conference area, state-of-the-art bookable meeting rooms, Hydrogen Zone, Innovation Square, an exclusive business lounge and an Offshore Energy Lounge.
Startups and knowledge institutes will be present also, to create a nice blend and showcase their latest innovations. OEEC participants can find them at the heart of the Innovation Square, a new feature of OEEC 2023.
As hydrogen is gaining increasing attention and is often referred to as the crucial link in the global energy transition, a designated Hydrogen Area is part of this year’s OEEC exhibition floor. Taking part in the Hydrogen Area means opening doors to valuable collaborations and inspiring business partnerships.
All in all, OEEC is an event that holds immense significance in the context of achieving climate goals. By bringing together key stakeholders and fostering collaboration, the event serves as a catalyst for driving the energy transition.
Addressing the challenges faced by the offshore energy industry requires joint effort, innovative solutions, and a commitment to sustainability. Attending OEEC is an opportunity to share knowledge, build partnerships, and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future.
OEEC is produced by Navingo, a media company for the maritime and offshore energy industry, that helps companies get relevant exposure with the purpose to create business, realise innovation and attract talent.
Navingo offers three channels for connecting to relevant customer segments: online news portals that provide industry news and in-depth industry insights on a 24/7 basis, a printed magazine with in-depth articles for the offshore energy market and a physical annual event (OEEC).
