Eight new homes look set to get the go-ahead on the site of a former factory.
West Norfolk councillors have been recommended to approve plans for four blocks of two-storey homes on Fairfield Road, at Downham Market, when they meet on Monday.
A report to the planning committee says: "The site lies in a highly sustainable location, in close proximity to Downham Market railway station and walking distance to the services and facilities of the town centre. "
It adds the development would provide "good quality, much needed housing on a brownfield site".

The building which stands on the site, which was formerly an upholstery factory, will be demolished and replaced with "simple, contemporary houses".
The report says it is now redundant and no longer suitable for commercial use.
Other former commercial buildings along Fairfield Road, near the railway line and Relief Channel, have been replaced by housing.
