A new tech repair store will soon open in a former dry cleaners in Norwich.

Pocket Geek Tech Repair, which is owned by US-based technology firm Assurant, will see the former Johnsons Specialist Cleaning in White Lion Street transformed into a phone and gadget repair centre.

A notice on the window simply says "coming soon", with no details of an opening date given.

Assurant announced its new repair retail network, Pocket Geek Tech Repair, in November last year and said it would be an "insurer-approved network offering a wide range of tech repair and device support services". 

The company claimed the network would provide "quick, high-quality services" for consumers looking to get their phones and wearables fixed.

Pocket Geek Tech Repair stores have already opened in Bristol, Manchester, Leeds, Halifax, Sheffield and Wolverhampton. 

Chris Woolnough, Assurant UK managing director said at the time: "This is a very exciting time for us.

"The Pocket Geek Tech Repair network means the customer is reunited with their device sooner and our franchisees can access the necessary tools to scale their business."
