Three people were taken to hospital during a night of disorder in a Norfolk town. 

Serious injuries were suffered during a series of attacks in Thetford late last night (Sunday, September 24) and in the early hours of this morning (Monday, September 25).

The night of terror resulted in three people being rushed to hospital. 

During the first reported incident a woman in her 30s was assaulted by a group of men at around 11pm on Sunday in King Street. 

She was robbed of her phone and cash and was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for treatment having suffered minor injuries during the attack.

She has now been discharged. 

Later at 12.40am this morning a group of men were seen attacking two other men in Minstergate.

One man in his 20s was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital to be treated for serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition. 

Shortly after at 12.53am another incident was reported in White Hart Street where a man in his 30s was assaulted by a group of men. 

He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with a head injury but has since been discharged. 

Police have not provided a description of the group of men involved. 

Detective Sergeant Mike Hardiman said: “We would like to reassure the people of Thetford that we will be carrying out additional patrols of the area while we investigate these incidents.

“At the moment we believe they may be connected and I would appeal to anyone who saw a group of men or teenage boys in the area, between 11pm last night and 1am this morning to come forward.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who has dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage which may assist our investigation.”
