People interested in finding out more about a maritime career are being encouraged to attend a special event next weekend.
Representatives from local marine industry businesses will be attending the 'open house meeting' being held in Lowestoft for people interested in a maritime career.
All are welcome to attend the event - which will take place from 10am at The Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club, Royal Plain, Lowestoft on Sunday, October 1 - and find out more about careers in maritime.
A spokesman said: "It's important people know that there are many career options available.
"As well as the chance to meet and chat about career opportunities there may also be some local boats available to look round to give a flavour of what life is like both onshore and offshore in this industry."
This recruitment day is part of an initiative called ‘Harbouring Potential’ - which is a joint partnership between Lowestoft’s Excelsior Trust and local maritime employers to demonstrate and explain what opportunities are available locally.
