Woodforde's Brewery in Norfolk to partner with Morrisons

Woodforde's Brewery, based in Woodbastwick, is partnering with Morrisons in a bid to see its products stocked in a higher number of stores. 

Woodforde's is Norfolk's largest brewer and has been established in the county since 1981. 

Its ales are increasingly stocked at large supermarket chains and the brewer started supplying Asda stores earlier this year.

This new deal will see the brewery supply almost 100 Morrisons stores around the country from this week, including Hampshire, Kent and Portsmouth. 

Wherry will be found on supermarket shelves across the country (Image: Woodforde's Brewery)The shelves will be stocked with 500ml bottles of Woodforde's award-winning amber ale, Wherry, which is named after a famous sailing boat used on the Broads. 

Ryan Crisp, head of off-trade at Woodforde’s Brewery, said: “This is a fantastic step for the brewery and one we take great pride in. 

"We are incredibly proud of our roots at Woodforde’s and are keen to celebrate the great things Norfolk has to offer, and Wherry is a perfect example of that.”
