A gym is set to undergo £150,000 refurbishment in what its owner calls its "comeback". 

NR Health and Fitness Club in Great Yarmouth will close for four days from November 4 as the renovations are completed. 

The revamp includes the addition of equipment from brands such as Hammer Strength and Life Fitness.

Nathan Gostling, NR's founder and managing director, labelled the refurbishment "the NR comeback". 

"We have to try and fight the chain gyms entering the area," he said. "We've unfortunately already lost one local independent gym which is just such a shame."

Mr Gostling thanked his "very loyal membership base" and said he was "very excited to launch". 

To celebrate the reopening, the gym is offering a deal of £15.99 per month for three months with no joining fee. 

NR Health and Fitness Club also has gyms in Wymondham, Attleborough, Dereham, Watton and Lowestoft.
