A seaside town in Norfolk known for its sandy beach and brilliant eateries has been named among the best places in the UK for a solo trip.
The Guardian has rounded up the 15 top UK destinations for a staycation on your own and Wells-next-the-Sea is on the list.

It is the only Norfolk location to feature, but, across the border in Suffolk, the charming village of Lavenham is included too.
Writing about Wells-next-the-Sea, The Guardian said: "Vast skies, tranquil beaches and a delightfully slow pace; the Norfolk coast is a great choice for a solo trip."

It recommends The Crown Hotel as the place to stay, where you can also enjoy a complimentary cream tea.
It also highlights the "friendly team" at the award-winning Wells Crab House, run by dynamic duo Kelly and Scott Dougal, for its "delicious seafood, including single oysters and taster portions of everything from crayfish tails to cockles and rollmops".
There is also an exciting development coming soon in the seaside town, with a street food hall planned for the top floor of the Pop Inn Cafe.
