Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Norwich city centre in the early hours of Saturday morning (September 16) after two people were seen in the river.
The emergency services, including fire crews from Sprowston and Carrow along with their rescue boat, were sent to the River Wensum near St Georges Street just before 3am.

By the time they arrived, one person had got out of the water on their own.
The crews then rescued the other person from the river using a raft and they were placed in the care of the ambulance service.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.53am with reports of concern for the safety of a man in the water on St Georges Street in Norwich.
"An ambulance and ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.
"The patient was transported to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further assessment and care.”
The incident was declared over at 3.20am.
