People in a number of villages have been told to boil their tap water before use following damage to a water main.
Anglian Water is advising people who live around Red Lodge, Kentford, Tuddenham, Icklingham and Gazeley after issuing a water quality concern on Wednesday evening.
A spokesman for Anglian Water said boiling the tap water is only a precaution.
People are being asked to do this while engineers repair the damaged pipe and do some extra checks to make use the water is to its normal standard.
For now, residents are being asked to boil it before cooking, preparing food, drinking and brushing their teeth.
