What do Danny Moloney, Carly Gorton, and Karen Fulcher all have in common?
They have all been named winners of the Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards, of course!
And now you, or someone you know, could also take home the same accolade.
Every year, the best of the region's unsung heroes are recognised by the EDP at the Stars of Norfolk and Waveney Awards.
The awards shine a light on those in our community who have shown selfless acts of kindness, bravery or heroism.
They are an opportunity to thank the groups, organisations, and individuals who have gone the extra mile across 12 different categories.
Last year, the Overall Star award, which is decided by the judges, went to Danny Moloney.
The 53-year-old, of Norwich, was nominated for his efforts raising more than £1m for charities and, most recently, helping children diagnosed with cancer.
In 2021, Carly Gorton took home the crown.
Then aged 11, the schoolgirl started a global change by getting a charity to create its first wig from afro hair.
And in 2020, Karen Fulcher was given the award for working tirelessly during the pandemic to create 164 sets of scrubs and more than 500 washbags and masks.
