A Broads restaurant appears to have reached the end of the line after it suddenly closed its doors.

The Station Smokehouse at Hoveton and Wroxham Station has closed, with the website now reading "The Station Smokehouse is now closed".

The Facebook page no longer exists, and a sign on the door to the premises reads "sorry closed until further notice".

The restaurant had become increasingly popular with locals for its smoked meats, which you could smell upon approach.

Owners Tim and Heather Ridley, whom we tried to contact, also own Fizz and Fromage at Station Business Park across the road.

The sister business, which opened two years ago, serves everything from full English breakfasts and sourdough toasties to cheese small plates and fondue.
