Five of the remaining eight pleasure wherries in the world will sail together on the Norfolk Broads at the end of the month.
And members of the public will have the chance to join the historic fleet as passengers as part of the September 30 event.
Four of the boats will set sail from Wroxham towards Salhouse Broad to meet the fifth which will be sailing in the opposite direction from How Hill on the River Ant, which is where the Wherry Yacht Charter Charitable Trust, which operates them, is based.
A spokesman said: “The charity’s motto of 'keeping history sailing' underpins its purpose of providing investment to protect this heritage and ensure that the significance of wherries is not forgotten.
“This wouldn’t be possible without the support of the friends of the charity and the volunteers who provide skippers and crew for sailings and undertake a range of other roles including viewing guides and maintenance of the wherries.”
