A "delightful" pooch who was found walking the streets is looking for her happy home and a canine companion after a rough start in life.

Dogs Trust does not have any history on where lurcher Daphne lived before the kennels as she was found as a stray.

The 18-month-old, who is scarred by loud noises, can live with children aged 10 years or older who have previously been around dogs and are confident.

Daphne is friendly and enjoys attention but will need to be built up to being left alone.

She needs access to a secure garden, housetraining and learning all the basics.

A spokesman for Dogs Trust said: "We do not believe she is housetrained and she is worried by loud noises.

"Daphne loves meeting new people and going on walks, she also enjoys spending time with other dogs and would like a home with a canine companion.

"Daphne loves food which helps her to learn, she would need positive reward-based training and lots of interesting walks."
