A toilet block in a Norfolk Broads park has been forced to close after being badly damaged in an act of vandalism.

Police received a report of criminal damage on Tuesday (August 8) after the incident which happened sometime between August 4 and August 5 at the public toilets in Long Road in Neatishead.

A spokesman for the Broads Authority said: "Unfortunately the public toilet block operated by the Broads Authority at Barton Boardwalk has recently been vandalised.

"We have closed the toilets for the foreseeable future while police investigate the incident and will endeavour to re-open the toilets as soon as possible.

Broads rangers are due to speak to officers in the coming days, as yet there are no further details in the investigation.
