Spectacular fields of sunflowers have finally burst into bloom in the summer heat - as Norfolk farmers seek colourful new ways to engage with the public.
One of the farms growing the giant yellow flowers for the first time is the Colman family's Crown Point Estate at Kirby Bedon, outside Norwich.
It planted eight acres of sunflowers to attract visitors from its neighbouring city.
Although delayed by dismal July weather, the estate's first open days this weekend are now fully booked after the summer sun finally arrived.
Farm administrator Madelaine Coutinho said: "We want to encourage people to spend time in nature and enjoy what our farm has to offer.
"The main reason we planted sunflowers is that we are so close to the city here, and this is a great way to have that interaction with the people.
"We had the worry of the rain and not getting enough sun, but then the flowers suddenly shot up and they look amazing - a lot of them are over 6ft tall."
A long pathway has been created so visitors can immerse themselves in the sunflowers, with cut stems available to buy afterwards. There will also be Ronaldo's Norfolk ice cream and a bake sale supporting farming mental health charity YANA.
Visits at weekends are free, but booking is required via www.crownpointestate.co.uk

Another farm growing sunflowers this year is Delamores, on Moat Road in Terrington St Clement, near King's Lynn - which is opening to the public for the first time.
The summer blooms - offered as "pick your own" for £2 per stem - currently dominate a 13-acre field which also contains other wildflowers, pumpkins and Christmas trees.
Fourth generation farmer William Delamore said: "I get a real buzz from dealing with the public, interacting with people and seeing them engaging with a farm that has a story to tell - that is what personally drives me to get out of bed in the morning.
"I planted all these [sunflowers] by hand myself, so to see families taking them home is really good."
Delamores is open at weekends from 10am-4pm, Friday to Sunday.
