A motorist has been banned from the roads for three years after he admitted drug driving.
David Wakefield, 30, was pulled over by police driving a red Suzuki car on Lynn Road, Castle Rising, due to "the manner of his driving".
King's Lynn Crown Court heard Wakefield, who had been speeding, was stopped at about 8.45pm on October 31 last year.
Matthew Edwards, prosecuting, said officers noticed a "strong smell of cannabis coming from the car" when they spoke to the defendant
He said Wakefield admitted having taken cannabis and handed over the remainder of it.
In addition, Wakefield also gave police "a small bag for [his] personal use".
He was ordered to take part in a roadside drugs wipe by police.
Wakefield, of Winston Drive, South Creek, Lynn was found to be over the limit for cannabis.
He appeared in court on Wednesday (August 9) having previously admitted drug driving and possession of cannabis.
Wakefield also admitted an offence of using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.
Deputy circuit judge David Farrell said the problem with drug or drink driving was that "you can kill" and banned Wakefield from driving for three years.
He also imposed a two-year community order, including 50 days Rehabilitation Activity Requirement (RAR).
Wakefield was also fined £100.
Lynne Shirley, mitigating, said the defendant, had admitted the offences.
She said he has had issues with his mental health but wanted to continue to work with probation service.
