An Indian takeaway in the car park of a city boozer could soon be demolished to make way for new homes.
The Harte of India, which is located behind The Harte pub in Costessey, in The Street, has been earmarked for two new houses with car parking.
According to a planning application submitted to South Norfolk District Council, the pub garden would be remodelled in order to make way for access roads and parking for the home, while the pub's own car park would lose one space.

The building was previously the pub's function room until 2008 when the Indian takeaway opened, the business closed in 2016 and has remained empty ever since.
Both houses in the development would be semi-detached, two-storey, three-bedroom builds.

They would be painted white with a brown roof.
The application follows a 2020 judgement by South Norfolk Council that planning permission would be required before the building could be demolished, due to the building's previous association with the pub.
Those wishing to comment on the application have until August 29, with hopes a decision can be made by September 29.
