A popular BBC Radio Norfolk show has bid farewell from her breakfast show.
Kirsteen Thorne who was worked on the show for 13 years announced the news on her show this morning (August 5).
She said: "This will be my last Saturday breakfast show at BBC Radio Norfolk.
"Many of you will be aware of the changes that are taking place within BBC Local Radio with a number of our programmes here becoming regionalised to allow more money to be invested into improving the corporations digital services.
"It means this programme and the Sunday morning show will go from being programmes being dedicated to Norfolk to programmes that will be broadcast across eight counties.
"Now I thought long and hard about what I wanted my future to be here at the BBC and I decided fronting a show covering an area of that size was something that didn't really appeal to me.
"Whilst I have loved every minute of working on these shows over the past seven years there comes a point where you have a precious window of time left with your children before they grow up.
"I hope I can be back on air one day but for now it is time for adventures new."
After 25 years Ms Thorne will leave the BBC later this year.
