Mountain Warehouse is set to open a new store in a north Norfolk town.

The high street retailer, which specialises in outdoor adventure clothing, equipment and footwear, is expected to move into the vacant former M&Co store in Cromer's Church Street.

Mountain Warehouse has an existing store in Church Street, but will be upsizing by taking on the larger store.

Councillor Tim Adams, leader of North Norfolk District Council, said the move was an "immense vote of confidence" in the town from the retailer.

"They are fitting it out now," Mr Adams said.

"There will be much more space for them than their existing shop.

"It will be interesting to see how quickly the space created by their departure fills.

"Hopefully a company will come and fill the space left soon."
