A "fairly spectacular scene" of a tidal surge on the north Norfolk coast was captured by a local drone photographer.
Images show waves almost going over the sea defences next to the golf club at Brancaster beach yesterday (August 3).
A flood alert was in place for 50 miles of coastline yesterday due to an unseasonal low-pressure system causing a small tidal surge.
People were warned to take care on beaches, coastal roads, quays and footpaths.
This morning's high tide is something not many of our visitors will have seen before!

Another alert has been in place this morning (August 4) from East Cley to Kelling Hard, including Salthouse, warning of some minor flooding to coastal roads and footpaths caused by the tides.

Water may be seen on Beach Road at Cley and Beach Road at Salthouse, and footpaths in the marshes may also become inaccessible.
The following tide tonight is not expected to reach Flood Alert level.
The images, taken by Gary Pearson, show very little beach left as the tides draw in.
Elsewhere on the coast, Holkham beach was completely underwater, with scenes "many visitors will not have seen before".
