Work on the major £4.4m revamp of one of Norwich's busiest roundabouts will begin next month, as drivers face the prospect of a new set of disruptive roadworks.
And construction of a new £1.2m link road close to Norwich Airport will get under way two months later, councils leaders have said.
Specific dates for the work on Heartsease roundabout and the Norwich Airport Industrial Estate link road are yet to be revealed.

But Graham Plant, Norfolk County Council's cabinet member for highways, infrastructure and transport, confirmed the Heartsease work will begin in September and the link road construction will commence in November.
The county council has yet to confirm what the work will mean in terms of road closures or diversions, but more details are expected to be revealed soon.
The council has advertised the traffic regulation orders for the Heartsease roundabout changes.
That includes 20mph limits on the approaches to the new roundabout and a number of restrictions on parking in nearby roads.
The roundabout is one of the trickiest to negotiate in the city and it is difficult for pedestrians to cross at the busy junction, where Plumstead Road intersects with St William's Way, Heartsease Lane and Harvey Lane.

The scheme will see the road layout on both the roundabout and its approaches turned into single lanes.
There will be new zebra crossings on all ‘arms’ of the roundabout, including one to replace an existing signal crossing on the northern end of Harvey Lane.
And there will be new shared-use paths for cyclists and pedestrians around all arms of the roundabout.
The council said the changes, paid for using money from the £32m Transforming Cities pot of cash, would make the roundabout safer.

However, critics, said it was a "missed opportunity".
The other scheme will see the construction of a quarter-of-a-mile link road, to connect Norwich Airport to the nearby Norwich Airport Industrial Estate.
It would not be for use by general traffic, but for buses and cyclists, with a footpath for pedestrians.
