Seven fire crews have been fighting a blaze which spread across thirty acres of land this afternoon.
Fire crews were called to Market Lane in Ashby at 3.20pm today (July 29) to reports of a tractor on fire, which had spread to a baler and field.
Two fire crews were initially sent, however due to a number of calls being received and the remote location, a third crew was then mobilised.
On arrival firefighters put in an assistance message for another two crews as the fire had spread to approximately thirty acres of stubble and straw.
Two further appliances and a water carrier were then sent to the scene.
One crew from Hethersett attended, along with one from Gorleston, Great Yarmouth, Beccles, and three from Lowestoft.
Crews proceeded to use four hose reels to extinguish the fire.
