A restaurant owner has talked of his "frustration" after a "brazen" group of people walked out of his diner without paying their £216 bill.
Chris Carr, co-owner of Zaks Yankee Traveller in Great Yarmouth, believes the group of seven had "no intention of paying the second they walked in".
The group ordered a banquet of mains, sides, desserts, cocktails and milkshakes on Wednesday afternoon (July 26) and "ate a considerable amount" at the American-themed diner.
Mr Carr expressed his anger as the restaurant was fully booked and the table could have been given to a group who would have paid.
"It's frustrating,” he said. “It doesn't happen here a lot but it is a regular occurrence in the industry and it's a kick in the teeth.

"It was a dampener on a busy night and all our work was thrown back in our faces.
“My team were upset as they had spent their time and effort serving the table well.
"It is tough to be in the restaurant trade at the moment as costs are ridiculous.
“Everyone is doing the best they can to serve tables with higher costs after a challenging 12 months.

"We would love it if they wanted to come back and pay."
The bill was the equivalent of a couple of part-time wages for the week.
Mr Carr and his business partner Ian Hacon, who bought the Zaks restaurants in 2020, took on the Yankee Traveller last year.
It has stood in King Street since 1973 and was part of the Zaks chain back in 1977.
