A Norfolk marksman was "top gun" at a national clay pigeon shooting contest - part of a busy summer of competitions for the county's Young Farmers' Clubs (YFCs).
YFC members from across Norfolk represented their county at the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs' competitions weekend in Staffordshire.
Winners included Archie Alexander from Loddon YFC, who scored a "fantastic result" by winning the junior clay pigeon tournament, shooting 43 out of 50.
In the senior category of the same contest, James Eyre from Swaffham secured fifth place, an achievement matched by Richard Hastings, Edward Rowling and William Hall from Wymondham in the fence-erecting competition.
And the men’s rush hockey team, comprising 10 members from various Norfolk senior clubs, finished fourth overall.
Norfolk YFC said it has been enjoying some "fantastic results" during a busy competitions season.
Three members competed in the dairy stock-judging at the Great Yorkshire Show last week.
And there was a "great turnout" in the annual stock judging competition on day two of the Royal Norfolk Show on June 29.
This year’s junior stockman winner was a Wymondham Countrysider, and the senior stockman title went to Wymondham’s David Long who, along with Dereham members Tori Short and Isobel Bowler, has also qualified to represent Norfolk at the national stockman of the year competition in September.
The show also saw senior YFC clubs creating a crazy golf exhibit with the theme "farming through the decades" - won by Reepham Young Farmers with their "war years" theme.
Norfolk YFC county chairman Henry Stanford - who will join fellow Dereham YFC members in the men’s tug-of-war team at the Tenbury Show in August - thanked all those who have represented the organisation this year.
