Grab your sunhat and suncream – and maybe a brolly – and head out to enjoy everything Norfolk and Suffolk have to offer this summer.

It’s hard to beat sitting in the sunshine at the seaside, watching the waves, making sandcastles and of course tucking into fish and chips and an ice cream – they taste even better in the open air!

Maybe you’ll head to the Broads and watch the boats, or hop aboard yourself – how about hiring a leisure boat or trying a paddleboard or kayak? The Broads are ideal for spotting wildlife from herons to butterflies, and the sharp-eyed may even spot an otter.

Take beautiful walks through our villages and explore peaceful woodlands, heaths and commons. There are some great cycle routes and plenty for the adventurous to enjoy from aerial playgrounds to wildlife and theme parks, plus stunning gardens and historic sites to explore.

Wander museums and art galleries, stroll our historic towns and walk in the footsteps of our region’s famous heroes – whatever day out you fancy, there’s almost certainly a place in Norfolk or Suffolk to go.

A relaxing journey

Ideal for a fun day enjoying the best the east has to offer, the ticket allows unlimited travel for one day across all bus services in and around Norwich and all along the Norfolk and Suffolk coast.

What’s more, you’ll save money too; at just £8 for adults, £6 for young people aged 5-19 or £14 for a High5 Group ticket (up to five people, maximum two adults), a day out by bus is great value compared to the cost of fuel and parking.

You can even buy it straight to your mobile phone using the FREE mTicket app, so you won’t need to worry about having the right money when you get on board.  Just buy, tap, show and go!

Head into Norwich city centre on one of the frequent Network Norwich bus routes, and from there you can hop on another bus to one of the many seaside resorts, market towns or the Broads.

Don’t forget to allow time in the city for a coffee or meal on the way home.
