A Norfolk beach has been named among the best in the country in a definitive guide of the top 50 in the UK.
Holkham Beach was chosen as the East of England winner by The Times, which highlighted its "mesmeric appeal," making it a "comfortable winner of Eastern England's best beach".

The north Norfolk gem was described as "heaven on earth" and praised by Times reader Stephen Chittenden for its vast expanse of pure sand and its picturesque dunes and trees.
Chris Haslam, chief travel writer at the Times and Sunday Times, said: "This is the most comprehensive and detailed beach guide available, and the only one in which every stretch of sand, pebbles or shingle has been physically inspected within the past eight weeks".
Brancaster also made the list, with its "beautiful natural expanses of golden sand, clean sea and grasses".
The beach was included in the Telegraph's round-up of the top 20 in the country earlier this year.
Weymouth in Dorset took the overall crown as The Times' best UK beach in 2023.
