A 20-year-old County Lines drug dealer operating in a coastal town has been put behind bars.

Mohammed Rahman, of New City Road in London, pleaded guilty to the crimes at Norwich Crown Court in June and was sentenced last Friday (July 7).

The 20-year-old was arrested following a stop and search in Station Road, Great Yarmouth, on May 29.

Officers found 42 wraps of drugs, a cannabis grinder and £75 cash on his person.

After searching through his phone, police discovered evidence he had been working with a County Line to bring Class A drugs into Norfolk.

He has been jailed for two years and four months after admitting to two counts of possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply and two counts of being concerned in the supply of heroin.

Investigating officer, PC Harry Martin, said: “Drug dealing has a devastating impact on local communities. It is often a root cause of anti-social behaviour and violence, particularly among youths.

“Hopefully, this case and the sentence given to the individual shows that positive action will be taken against those that deal drugs, especially those operating in County Lines.”
