Part of the A11 has reopened five hours after a lorry crashed into a verge.
Police were called to the southbound carriageway at Attleborough at 11.23am today (July 10) following reports that a lorry had crashed into the trees within the stretch of roadworks.
The road was closed in both directions between the B1172 at Wymondham and the A47 Thickthorn Interchange for most of the day.
Police asked drivers to avoid the area. A diversion route was in place from Tuttles Lane Interchange towards B1172 through to Hethersett to the Park and Ride roundabout and on to the Thickthorn roundabout.
There were delays of nearly 20 minutes on the B1172 London Road eastbound between A11 and London Road.
An air ambulance attended but the male driver was taken to hospital by road.
A southbound stretch of the #A11 is currently closed from the Wymondham slip road to the junction with the B1077 at Attleborough due to a collision. Emergency services are on scene. Please avoid the area #NorfolkRoads
